• The NFPA has identified the various FR hazardous risk category levels, which range from PPE 1 (which is low risk and requires AR clothing with a minimum arc rating of 4), up to PPE 4 (which is high risk and requires AR clothing with a minimum arc rating of 40). Each level, 1-4, is rated at a certain amount of flame resistance measured in cal/cm2.

Engineered for extreme conditions, this dual-certified FR parka delivers maximum protection and warmth for mining, petrochemical, oil & gas, utility, and welding professionals. Made with a 7oz FR inherent ripstop shell and 14oz modacrylic/cotton insulation, it meets NFPA 70E PPE 4 requirements with an ATPV rating of 40 cal/cm². The rugged design includes Aramid thread for thermal stress resistance, antistatic properties, a detachable insulated hood, and 2" silver FR reflective H-tape for high visibility. Additional features include multiple storage pockets, mic tabs, a structured contrast collar, and a non-fluorinated water-repellent finish. ANSI 107 Type R Class 3 compliant.
