  • Type/Class R2 apparel is necessary for workers exposed to traffic traveling over 25 mph and who work against complex backgrounds.

  • The NFPA has identified the various FR hazardous risk category levels, which range from PPE 1 (which is low risk and requires AR clothing with a minimum arc rating of 4), up to PPE 4 (which is high risk and requires AR clothing with a minimum arc rating of 40). Each level, 1-4, is rated at a certain amount of flame resistance measured in cal/cm2.

Product Description:

Designed for demanding environments like mining, oil & gas, and utilities, this flame-resistant shirt combines high-performance protection with everyday functionality. Made from lightweight 6oz FR inherent ripstop fabric, it offers excellent durability and mobility while helping guard against fire and arc hazards (PPE 2, ATPV 8.9 cal/cm²). The high-tenacity Aramid thread enhances stress resistance, while 1% antistatic properties help reduce electrostatic discharge. ANSI 107 Type R Class 2 compliant (Hi-Vis Yellow only), it features 2” silver reflective H-tape, a navy bottom to hide dirt, chest pockets with snap closures, mic tabs, and a structured contrast collar. Certified to NFPA 70E, NFPA 2112-2023, OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, and EN ISO 1149-3 standards.
